I led the move from Magento to Shopify, directing the full UI/UX redesign to serve both workwear and fashion customers. My focus: platform strategy, user experience, and positioning Boot World as a trusted footwear authority.
Boot World's existing eCommerce platform, Magento (Adobe Commerce), had become increasingly difficult to manage. The user experience was outdated and unintuitive, and the system lacked the flexibility to support the company's growing B2B ambitions. Additionally, the site failed to effectively serve Boot World's two distinct customer segments: male workwear buyers and female fashion-focused sheepskin shoppers.
After evaluating multiple eCommerce platforms, Shopify was selected for its flexibility, ease of use, and scalability. A complete UI/UX redesign followed, with a focus on balancing the needs of both core audiences. The design process prioritized intuitive navigation, clean visual hierarchy, and a brand-forward experience. Content and interface enhancements positioned Boot World as a footwear authority, using tools like robust product filtering, detailed tagging systems, feature-based icons, and comparison scales.
Boot World successfully re-platformed to Shopify, launching a modern, user-centric site that supports both DTC and future B2B growth. The new design delivered a tailored experience for both work and fashion customers while reinforcing the brand’s expertise in footwear. The result: a more scalable, manageable platform with elevated UX and stronger conversion pathways.
